Kuijjer Lab

Funding from the Norwegian Cancer Society

November 13, 2023

The Kuijjer group has received funding from the Norwegian Cancer Society through the "Krafttak mot Kreft" program, for the project "Precision network medicine for treatment stratification of metastatic breast cancer." The project concerns computational method development and analyses to better understand the regulatory alterations that may contribute to metastatic breast cancer. We are very excited to start this project in 2024.

Nationally, we will be collaborating with Vessela Kristensen and Xavier Tekpli at Oslo University Hospital, as well as Erik Knutsen from The Arctic University of Norway (UiT) in Tromsø. We will also continue to collaborate with researchers in the US, including John Quackenbush from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Kimberly Glass from the Channing Division of Network Medicine, and former postdoc Daniel Osorio. The project will run for four years, and will cover salary for three positions, which means we will be expanding the group quite a bit in the coming years. For more information, please see the university's news article.
